I’ll never forget the day my grandfather gave me his army-issue Contax II camera (as used by the legendary Robert Capa). That was the day I started down this wonderful road. Since then, the world has never looked the same. Everywhere I go, every corner I turn reveals a magical moment or a beautiful scene, that if I don’t capture, will haunt me forever, and so it’s rare to find me without a camera in my hand.

After developing my artistic skills and scientific understanding at university, I was fortunate enough to secure a retained position at a renowned sports magazine, providing photographic reportage illustrations for their events and travel sections. This not only satisfied my wanderlust, but it also gave me several years of experience in all manner of photographic disciplines. After that editorial role, I expanded my business to the Middle East, documenting the Desert Force MMA championship in the U.A.E, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahrain, and Egypt. My client base soon grew large enough for me to relocate to Dubai where, among many other agencies, I worked as a stringer for Getty Images. In the latter half of my time here, I have diversified my visual expertise to include camera operation on a DJI Inspire 2 drone and an Alexia Mini LF and have worked as Director, Producer, and D.O.P on many highly acclaimed corporate documentaries.

Most visual artists, upon mastering their medium, combine their skills with their other main interests. A keen athlete, for instance, will quickly become a sports photographer or an outdoor enthusiast will gravitate towards landscape photography. But for me photography itself has always been my driving passion, enabling me to move between genres fluidly and naturally, one day hanging from a helicopter capturing the fast-paced drama of a speed boat race; and the next, meticulously manipulating flashlights for studio portraits.

But it’s not all about beautiful images. 20+ years of experience has taught me how to truly understand a client’s brief and how to work with them with clear communication to achieve their vision to the very best standard that can be achieved.
